Tabasco comes in 59 ml bottles, not 57. 59 ml is the equivalent of 2 fluid ounces. Since 57 ml is 1.93 fluid ounces, I’m going to hazard a guess that Heinz did indeed settle on 57 ml for the link to “57 varieties”. ---

It looks like those bottles are for different markets. The 59 is also marked 2 oz., the 57 has only the metric volume. There’s also different markings on the bottles. ---

You are correct-they are very small. But I feel so de classe asking for 3 or 4 of them when I do room service at a swanky hotel. Could be worse. It could be Sir Kensington’s ketchup, which is vile beyond imagination. ---

But I was still wondering why Tabasco would come in 57 ml in the UK, but 59 ml in the USA. I did not know that a UK Imperial fluid ounce is actually slightly smaller than a USA fluid ounce, so 57 ml is in fact 2 imperial fluid ounces. So I still think that’s just math, not specifically trying for 57 ml the way Heinz probably is. ---
