I mean, I don’t want to sound like _that_ guy, but perhaps work more on dismantling/changing what made Trump so “successful”, instead of petty BS that doesn’t help? If you’re not doing it to sway anyone, I don’t see it as productive. I do hate the man. What’s that story? With the Scorpio who stung the man trying to save it from drowning? I just don’t think ACTIVELY hating someone, so much is healthy. I don’t wish harm on people, but might laugh if harm finds them. ---

…I’ll give that to you, to some degree. It does paint him as loser you shouldn’t aspire to be like. I think we need to look much deeper than that, but I guess it serves that purpose. ---

Strongly disagree. Trump is essentially a mindless puppet, he can change neither himself nor his public. What made him successful was the collective psyche of a large number of American voters, so filled with rage and fear and hate that they would willingly destroy themselves if only their enemies were laid even a little lower than they are. It is possible to change that, I suppose, but it is a very, very long term project. ---

My point was that Trump could disappear tomorrow, but all those voters will still be out there slavering for a leader to follow to hell, and the next guy might be just as cynical but not be so stupid and clumsy as Trump. ---
