Yup. If those gallows were ever to be used, it would be to hang some corpse in effigy. If certain people _inside_ the Capitol had gotten ahold of Pelosi or Pence, they would have quickly killed an old and frail person through serious blunt force trauma (if not mace, a taser, or some bullet) ---

DJT lawyers claim payment in Carroll case $5,000,000. Not sure what “supersedeas” means, but I looked up more about this. AIUI, the lawyers have simply provided to the court a bond of 111% of the judgment in order to satisfy the requirement (in New York) that they provide such a bond to proceed with the appeal. This was big news on Twitter yesterday - apparently it implies that Trump couldn’t find anyone to write/guarantee the bond (presumably because he has a long history of prompt payment of debts), so had to post his own cash. On the other hand, I assume a bond has a fairly high interest rate - if you can raise the cash, that would seem like a more financially prudent choice. ---

I don’t see why Orcs wouldn’t have restaurants or dining halls with some concept of menu. They have a society of sorts where some specialize in making stuff , brewing grog and being soldiers etc so I would think they have some places dedicated to making food for those that don’t have time to knock up a bonefish kedgeree after a difficult day turning the rack. I’d recommend a hard pass on the beef carpaccio. ---
