You are going to another court and arguing that something done in the trial was procedurally incorrect. Now, that can overturn a conviction but isn’t likely to. You can also have multiple appeals at multiple times on multiple issues related to the trial. It is not a redo of the trial. You aren’t provisionally convicted until the first appeal is over. You are a felon and will forever be one until and unless every single conviction is overturned. Despite what Fox News and others on the right may claim, he is a felon, period. ---
