So the liquor license goes to a person rather than the business? I did not know that, just assumed a license would be tied to the relevant establishment. ---

I assume that liquor licenses are granted contingent on the record and character of the business owner who has to be trusted to conform to a variety of liquor laws. As much of a bureaucracy as liquor licensing is, it does actually seem to make sense to consider the trustworthiness of the establishment owner. ---

Can the Board’s legal (b)eagles explain to me why, exactly, the convict’s lawyers cannot be sanctioned. ISTM they were not putting forth legal arguments in good faith. During the impeachments and subsequent senate trials, they put forth the idea that the trial courts are the appropriate venue for the crimes he committed. Now that he’s been dragged in front of the courts, they put forth, and sadly the Supreme Court agreed with them, that impeachment and subsequent Senate trial is the appropriate venue. ---
