It is, but conservatives are really bad at comedy. Look at what happens when they try to create their own version of _The Onion_, and it ends up as _The Babylon Bee_. What’s interesting is that Gutfeld doesn’t really have any background in it. He received a BS degree in English from UC Berkeley, and then was a writer and editor at magazines like _The Spectator_, _Prevention_, and _Men’s Health_, then later _Stuff_ and _Maxim_ before becoming one of the original contributors to _The Huffington Post_. From there, he ended up on Fox News doing various shows. I can’t find anything that suggests he has any kind of comedic training. No stand up experience, no improv groups, none of the usual stuff you’d expect of a comedian. Then again, being funny on Fox News probably means, “Saying mean things about people we hate so we can laugh at them.” ---

I continually find it interesting how the trash media of the left produces content providers for the right - Glenn Beck, Tucker Carlson, etc. - and that’s not keying either side into the quality and accuracy of what they’re engaging with. Righties produced by the left are probably more like professional straw men. It’s wrong for the left to think that they’re arguing with the right person, when they’ve chosen their own opponent. And it’s wrong for the right to accept that person, when it’s a person chosen by their enemy. A large part of the problem with the right these days is that CNN sold the South on an image of Republicans that was never actually true - until they made it so - and now they’re backing positions that were, originally, just easy-to-fight straw arguments. ---

I just called Top Dog Direct cutomer service to inquire if they had volume discounts on TrumpyTrout. They closed about 15 minutes ago. Automated system prompted me to select the product I was inquiring about: #1 for this #2 for that… up to #9 for TrumpyTrout. So I guess it’s in the top 10. ---
