Yeah, the idea (or “concept”) that ‘getting the questions early’ would be advantageous doesn’t bear up under the most casual scrutiny. Clearly the moderators were going to ask about the economy and about immigration. Other likely topics would include the changes in messaging BOTH candidates have exhibited (e.g. fracking for Harris and abortion-time-limits for Trump), and the wars in the Middle East and in Ukraine. “Any old excuse” for Trump’s bad performance seems to be the operative principle here. ---
