The sad (for Democrats and democracy-lovers) fact is that most people who would benefit from the information in those films, will likely never know they exist. They are more likely to be exposed to promotion of the OANN-and-Fox-promoted “The Man You Don’t Know.” (Which appears to be quite worshipful toward Trump.) (The right-wing media bubble succeeds in derailing a LOT of potential schadenfreude.) ---

Watching “Stopping the Steal” right now. The testimonies given by election board members/state officials in swing states is gripping. Remarkable to me is how many previously loyal Trump staffers were surprised (at least for the camera) by his conduct after the election. It seems to me most thinking people knew he was a shameless narcissist who would show his true side when things did not go his way. I guess the trappings of power blind many people to reality. ---

I watched Stopping the Steal" a couple of nights ago. It’s very well done, mostly interviews by Republicans, both current and former, many of whom (Bill Barr, Stephanie Grisham, Marc Short, e.g.) were active members in the Trump Administration. Also featured were Rusty Bowers, Brad Raffensperger, Gabriel Sterling and others. In other words, die-hard Trumpers right up to the end and January 6th. I think everyone who votes should watch it. In reality, those who need to see it most will be able to avoid it. ---

Some. Not all. Rusty Bowers and Gabriel Sterling, for example, will never have anything to do with Trump again. (Though I expect they will stop short of voting for Harris.) ---

The information compiled through interviews by Dan Reed, producer and director of the piece, comports with the information I have about the efforts made by Trump and his loyalists to steal the election. In short, I believe it is truthful. It’s compelling because the story is told by people who were loyal to Trump right up to the end. Several of them pointed out that they _wanted_ Trump to win – and had no reason to say otherwise, except it was the truth that he lost. Dan Reed is a British producer and director who previously made _Leaving Neverland_, _Terror in Mumbai_ and _The Valley_. Not a Republican, but he appears to be a faithful narrator. ---
