That’s likely correct in the sense that she probably still feels justified in having committed her crimes. But she DID learn that being Trump’s patsy _ **doesn’t** _ give her the immunity that Roberts Court\* gave Donald. \* I’m having trouble, these days, thinking of it as the “Supreme” Court. Roberts and the other five right-wing extremists have made it so very subservient to a former member of the Executive Branch, that it really isn’t ‘supreme’ any more. ---

I’m also certain it went way over her head that any such immunity at the federal level means diddly squat for Colorado state crimes committed not by a federal official but a mere county clerk. ---

Don’t feel bad. I’ve been having an argument on Xwitter with someone who’s convinced that Aileen Cannon’s refutation of Jack Smith’s appointment as special counsel - along with the dishonorable Clarence Thomas’ notes in the immunity ruling - invalidates Smith as prosecutor in cases that Cannon has no jurisdiction over. ---

If Cannon had any actual basis for her disqualification of Smith, it would have very far-reaching consequences and _would_ affect not just other cases but the whole concept of a special prosecutor going forward. Of course, in reality she’s an incompetent, corrupt judge making up bullshit while more experienced judges facepalm. ---

True. But their assertion was that, since Thomas disapproved of Smith in his concurrence (or whatever it was), that meant that he (Smith) was kicked off the case being heard by Chutkin. ---

The judge did mention her sentence could be reduced with good behaviour and various programmes. I’m betting that will be slim to none. ---
