Trump can exercise the power he wants to exercise only with the cooperation of US armed forces. Therefore he will want to show approval for those who violate the norms of the military, particularly with a focus on disobeying lawful orders (can’t have those officers who still think an oath to the Constitution matters, slowing things down), and on the commission of violence. He will want those people to be hailed as heroes. (No schadenfreude here; just horror and reasonable cynicism.) ---

I agree, I think Trump would love to have a Justice Department that will declare people guilty first and figure out the details sometime between eternity and never but we’ll see how that works out for them.
