I’m glad I’m old now and won’t really be around or aware of the shitshow that follows Trumpism. I feel so bad for Americans, and bad for the rest of the world…just fuck. Parody indeed.

BTW: Do you know the names of the two ICE agents that shot Alex Pretti? Jesús Ochoa and Raymundo Gutiérrez. I feel some dissonance in The Farce. I wonder whether their documents are _in Ordnung_.

Interestingly, I just read this in the Atlantic Magazine today:

> “The crime rate of CBP agents and offices was higher PER CAPITA than the crime rate of undocumented immigrants in the United States,” Graff writes.” Statistically speaking, “worst of the worst” seems to describe CBP and the Border Patrol as law-enforcement agencies better than it does the [people they’re rounding up](https://www.cato.org/blog/5-ice-detainees-have-violent-convictions-73-no-convictions).

How close is Minneapolis to the border or the lakeshore? CBP does not have jurisdiction greater than 100 miles from either.

About 150 miles, give or take, to Duluth.

But these seem to be ICE agents, not CBP, so the 100 mile ‘reasonable’ limit would not apply. It’s possible or likely the Wiki is incorrect about the particular agency involved.

But also, the agencies involved are rather incestuous and don’t act especially professional, so who knows?

And they’ve been re-assigning lots of agents from other departments to work ICE deportations, so they probably have authority derived from that assignment.

Donald Trump is an overgrown combination of a school yard bully and a spoiled brat. That’s been a known fact for ages. It’s disgusting that he’s being allowed to do his dirty work. Unfortunately, however, if and when one looks at United States history, both earlier and more recently, Donald Trump’s ascension into the Oval Office was coming.

I gathered it was more, “Following the law when we toss so many people in jail we can’t keep up is hard.” The obvious answer is to slow down so that you make sure you do it correctly, but that’s not up to her.

Actually, the **obvious** obvious answer is to go find somewhere else to work.
