I was curious as to why Kristi Noem was carrying around a passport. Had she been traveling? Was she about to travel outside the USA? Some paranoid fantasy about white women being deported seemed like a non-sequitur. ---

I am currently in that passportless half, but I’m sufficiently spooked despite being an aged white middle-class woman in a blue state that I’ve sent in an application. Last passport I had was in 1984 or so. ---

The S&P 500 is up 3.4% as I type this. It seems like every time Trump doesn’t do the thing he said he would do, markets soar. It’s almost like people who understand money think his ideas are bad. ---
