Light, thin hair backlit by sun fades to a light glow. I do wonder why Time would take such a picture. Other than to highlight his hairloss and throat folds. ---

They’re trying to make him look Presidential. Taken from the front, if he sees the camera, he’ll preen or scowl as he usually does, which looks ridiculous. From that angle, he actually looks halfway like he realizes the import of the moment and that it’s not all about him. Of course, he immediately ruined it by complaining about it, but he can’t help but turn everything he touches to shit ---

Hmm, I can still see the image upthread. Anyway, it’s a shot from Austin Powers, Goldmember, I think. The character, Fat Bastard, as seen after he lost a bunch of weight, leaving him with a wrinkly, flabby neck. He says” unfortunately, my neck looks like a vagina”. Much like Trump’s neck on the Time cover. ---

I mean, his disgusting neck that holds up his disgusting head is definitely not a pretty sight under any circumstances, but I can’t help picturing (no pun intended) a photo editor enhancing the most unsightly part. Even if no tampering, it’s such a bad photo that I wonder if it was chosen specifically because it is so ugly (and gynecological).
