[/QUOTE] Thanks, I am not too far on the left anyway, especially by dope standards. It is hard to be a lefty and a Republican after all. \*\*PRR \*\* was a good poster. He is someone I got to meet once and enjoyed talking to. His baseball contributions were well thought out and second only to **RickJay** for baseball logic even if I disagreed with many of his points. I missed some of the other less worthy stuff he did that **Crotalus** pointed out to me. I have to admit his last two months had much that was not particularly good posting, but some people took this as an excuse to immediately jump on him no matter what he said or did. I tried to defend him in the train wreck of the other thread, while disagreeing with him at the same time. In his final GD thread, I did not agree with him either. I have a tendency to argue from a middle position so people on either extreme think I am arguing from the opposite viewpoint. I am not sure how to avoid this. I still think no matter how little you like a poster, the act of buying them off the board is not a good way or honorable way to go about it. These jokes about being bought off are exactly why I was afraid. It cannot be good for the community of the Dope in the long run if incidents like this happen again. Sorry for rambling. I took a break to put up the border in my daughters room and I still find myself disgusted by what happened in the other thread. Jim ---

I have no outstanding debts, and I have enough spare cash at the end of the month that I can put some in a retirment account while still having a little left over for luxuries. There are some more expensive luxuries out there I wouldn’t mind having, but if I had to choose between buying an HD-DVD player and posting here, I’ll choose the boards any day. The entertainment value is worth _way_ more than $500 to me. Does that make me a moron? ---

I have a disagreement with their decision or lack of in this case and I have posted my reasons why in this forum where we are suppose to address such concerns.
