> My first time was 1979, during the day, with a cold audience. Got to say the movie isn’t much seen that way but the songs were catchy enough I saw it the proper way a year or so later, and about a dozen times since then. Not much by Rocky standards, but more times than most any other film I can think of.

I first saw it as a relative kid ~10yrs ago. This was the age when seeing breasts in a movie was a huge deal. (I remember hearing you could see Oola’s nipples in Return of the Jedi, so a friend and I spent a few hours pausing and playing forward slowly. The verdict- you see what could be a nipple, but could also be the way the costume folds.) I watched it again a couple weeks ago and I was shocked, shocked! that there was gambling… err… nipples in the movie. Totally amazed I didn’t catch it when I was younger, especially since Columbia was my favorite female in the movie. It was like reliving puberty (the good parts!) over again.

PS-If no one’s mentioned it yet, the movie’s on all day (Oct 31) on Fox Movie Channel.
