Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy trying to find new wrinkles and fun topics. Glad you approve.
Well, it was really just a cover to make it easier for me to judge - picking worldwide fame would be tough (except for ‘TV drama’ even though no one seems to agree with me so far).
I am amazed so far that 21 posts in, everyone is saying Mona Lisa. I have never seen complete agreement in this many posts on the Dope before.
Jim

I would be amazed if someone picked anything else.Mona Lisa is a slam dunk.Of course I thought the same thing about Star Wars and 60 Minutes, but Mona is a lock.Picking another painting over her is just being pretentious.

What about the Sixtine chappel?
There are so many good number two choices. On top of other’s mentioned, there’s Blue Boy, and The Night watch and The Scream, and I’d throw in several more like the Seurat that inspired Sunday in the Park with George, and the Renoir of the woman in 3/4 profile, and the O’Keefe with the long-horn skull, if I knew their names.
But you live in the city of art, so perhaps I will defer to you.

Hmm, interesting to see the agreements and the differences. Very cool idea. Are you planning to consolidate the results at some point, Zeldar?
