I decided to bail an hour early, so I’m home. I just made up a shopping list - dunno if I should go today or tomorrow. The guys came today and cleaned our gutters, plus they blew all the leaves off our porch and deck. I’ve been very happy with this company. It’s a crapshoot picking someone out of the yellow pages or off a website, but we hit the jackpot with these guys. 😃 ---

When I go to Indiana during cool weather months,there’s a candy kitchen in **bobbio** ’s hometown [http://www.olympiacandykitchen.com/](http://www.olympiacandykitchen.com/) that’s been there over a century and I stop to pick up chocolate [del]to grease the skids[/del] for gifts. Their regular chocolates rock. Unfortunately, they suck with the no sugar added kind, so I only get a box with four for myself. This morning on the way to irk, a coyote ran in front of me down the street by the recycling convenience center. I knew that they were in the more rural parts between here and my last home, but didn’t realize that they had come to town. My street really does need to be widened. When I came home just before lunch, traffic was backed up with folks taking their Xmas trees in for recycling and in another block, cars lined up at the emissions testing center. The latter happens the first and last week of every month, so we’re used to it. Off for three days again. Tomorrow, I’m making Italian wedding soup and Sunday, it will be black eyed peas (I bought Kroger’s last bag), turnip greens and cornbread. ---

Happy Firday! **Spidey** NO! I’m not giving up a year of my life for anybody or anything. We had snow this morning, quite a bit that was laying on the truck and the ground. Then we had sun, then we had flurries when we went to get groceries. We went today because the weather app changed to say today would be clear and tomorrow would be snow. It _LIED_! We went to DQ for supper because \*\*FCD \*\*had a hankerin’ for a chili dog. Now we’re home, about to adopt chillage mode. I think \*\*Butters \*\*made it OK, altho she had to rebook a later flight. I saw on FB that she was at the airport. ---

Chikin pot pie turned out perfect. The bizkit top was so golden and fluffy I almost wept. 😃 ‘Twas a wonderful thing to ingest on a cold (to us) Winter’s evenin’. Plus leftovers for N.O.L. tomorrow if desired and for at least one N.O.L. next week. ---

I’m turning in pretty soon, coming down with a cough and stomach upset. And I’m peeved I won’t be able to dring champagne tomorrow for NYE/my birthday. I started taking an antibiotic yesterday that says absolutely no alcohol while I’m on it(a week) and for a couple days after. My sister the pharmacist confirmed this is a serious chance for interaction, so suck it up and no booze tomorrow. I really need to do my laundry, but I feel too week to get to the laundromat. Sorry to be a downer. ---

I went to bed early last night, was asleep shortly after 9, and didn’t wake till nearly 6. Huzzah!!! \*\*FCD \*\*is still abed, since he stayed up later, but Higgs has completed her morning routine, so I can sit here, surf, and caffeinate. Good times! Today, trash and recycling must go to the convenience center - they won’t be open tomorrow, rain is threatened on Moanday, and we don’t have enough room in the trash cans to go another week. I’ll also do grocery shopping, and I need to strip both guest beds and tidy both of those rooms. I’ll probably put off laundry till tomorrow or Moanday. Feel better, **Cupcakes**!! Rain is supposed to start tonight and hang around for tomorrow and into Moanday. We shall see. Today I turn into Julia Childs and do a buncha cookin’. That should pretty much occupy at least the mornin’ into the early afternoon. JDD and Partner are comin’ over this evenin’ to hang out and spend the night.
