What kind of memory exercise is this? Some kind of memory exercise work book I saw today at the book store? Is it to improve the person memory? Or is it improve word relationship? I saw number of these workbooks today at the book store. Do these work books really improve the person memory or improve word relationship? * * * **Some of the memory exercise and questions in workbook.** – **cross out the words in each row that does not belong.** sun,moon,planet,stars,violin,meteor path,street,highway,trail,car,road teaspoon,cup,pint,liter,several,quarter sunrise,monody,afternoon,evening,dinner… clock,calendar,camera,watch bicycle,buggy,bed,jeep – **word relationship to compare** Teacher is to student as coach is to player glove to hand as boot is to foot meow is to cat as hiss to snake. \*\*fill in black of the word relationship to compare # similar to above \*\* write each word from the word box in the correct continent list of animal that belong in the correct continent. Africa Australia North America Antarctica Look at the list of animals and fill in each word from the word box in the correct continent above. === cross out the words that does not belong pants,shirts,shoes,skirt, raisin, sweater lawnmower,shovel,watering can,garbage ca,tomato,hose * * * write each words from the word box on page 22 in the correct category to compete the list of words. Spices deserts drinks grains/breads All 25 food words in word box in correct category. ======= Do these work books really improve the person memory? Or do they improve word relationship? What is point of these puzzles IQ books? ---

Did you buy the book? If no, then, you’re IQ just improved a tiny, tiny bit! 😃 Actually, though, the thinking required for those types of puzzles theoretically help your brain not to atrophy. In some of the Alzheimer’s literature I read occasionally, I think the current research shows that any type of brain exercising is good.
