I was reading some Harlan Ellison essays, and he mentioned that Manson named his child Valentine Michael Smith, because Manson adored Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land… Whatever happened to Manson’s boy? Anyone know? ---

[http://www.aboundinglove.org/](http://www.aboundinglove.org/) I had read (cause I’m doing some searching to find an answer to your question) that Manson patterned his life after that character - saw his son referred to on one web page as Charles, Jr. There’s an extensive interview with Manson at the above website - if you feel like taking the time to slog through all that you might be able to find an answer, but I can’t give you anything specific, and should probably be doing something productive for my employer right now I suppose. According to [Biography.com](http://www.Biography.com/cgi-bin/biomain.cgi), Manson had two sons: Charles Manson, Jr. and Charles Luther Manson. ---
