A question about diarrhea.

I asked a cook about this this morning and he knew exactly what I was talking about. He blames it on what he calls “grill grease”, and said it was once a well known side effect of eating a diner type breakfast. It was kept in a steel tub on the grill, and the grease would be dipped out as needed with a ladle. He no longer works at that diner, but said that when he stopped using that system the problem went away. He’s talking about less than ten years ago, and he thinks most cooks don’t use it now.
Could be that this “grill grease” was, or contained, some of the stuff mentioned above by Chief Pedant.
BTW; he said that was fast acting and could work in much less than an hour.

Thanks, AuntiePam. I remember that, and believe it or not, I once considered using corn as a marker in an experiment. :stuck_out_tongue:
Problem was that the effect was too unpredictable.
My daughter says of Jake “you gotta love that little shit”.
Yeah.

I can tell you once, I didn’t eat anything all day, and I was tired and it was like 9pm at night and I saw a big jar of sunflower seeds, which I love. I bought it and went home, but I was so tired I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning, very hungary as you can imagine, and I just gorged down on the entire jar. Which I could do even if I wasn’t so hungry, 'cause I love them

I barely finished the jar when my stomach started cramping up and I headed toward the bathroom. So those seemed to just shoot right through me.

Now I had nothing in my stomach either but that was about the quickest I’ve seen. Maybe they didn’t actually shoot right through but it felt like it
