I am not the best when it comes to google-fu and I am having a very annoying problem with my Charge.

I have a notification on my screen that comes and goes and I can’t figure out what it is or how to stop it. It is in the far left corner of my screen and it looks like if you took a [Pedestrian crossing](http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.colianni.net/aj/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/pedestrian-crossing.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.colianni.net/aj/archives/2009/07/21/being-a-pedestrian/&h=350&w=350&sz=42&tbnid=Hx-WX7j_6KzYEM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=90&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dpedestrian%2Bcrossing%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=pedestrian+crossing&docid=7UhK7ApxS6vnfM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=S-pfTry_JOnnsQLTgKE6&sqi=2&ved=0CEEQ9QEwBA&dur=170) sign and turned it on its side, and put a number 2 in it.

I have no other e-mail addresses sent to my phone, I have no voicemails, no unread texts and no app updates…what is this icon?? What does it mean?? How do I get rid of the damn thin?

Any of these look like the icon you’re seeing?

> The Android Status bar appears at the top of the screen. It displays status and notification icons as well as the current time. The following images show the icons you may see with a description.

Missed calls?

That doesn’t sound like any of the default android notifications. I’ve had my charge for a few months now and what you are describing doesn’t sound like anything I have seen, have you loaded any apps that had a logo like that?

On my phone, if I put my finger on that top notification bar and pull down I get a list that gives me detail about each notification. Try that and see what happens.

ETA: The number two usually means that this particular incident has happened twice.

If you have more notifications than can fit on top of the notification bar, a little icon of that shape appears and tells you how many there are that aren’t showing. [This](http://the-gadgeteer.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Notification-281x500.png) picture shows that there are 3 more notifications not being shown. Is that it?
