I’ve been having quite a few problems, including long load times, losing posts, and getting timed out, with the board of late, and it’s getting frustrating. I’m wondering if these problems are temporary, or if there is anything on the immediate horizon that will make it better. Renewal period is rapidly approaching, and I’m wondering if there is any upgrades or changes, or if this is how the board is going to be for the future. ---

Since I was timed out three times and couldn’t search for this thread the first 2 times I tried, I thought I’d bump it and see if I can get an answer. ---

I’ve been having the same problems. I’ve even gotten database errors, which I haven’t seen in at least a year or more (maybe since we went pay). It has been pretty frustrating. Maybe something needs a reboot somewhere - I hope things improve soon! ---

Time outs here too, this never did occur in my cable connection before: 1/2 of the time I get the “page can not be displayed” error. ---

You will (or not) get all kinds of excuses and reasons why this place alone amongst the entire internet (including geoshitties) cannot provide service that approximates 1995 dialup levels. Must be all those fancy graphics and avatars. It will be suggested that you try to use the board during off hours or some other customer service driven advice. I lurked for a long time and finally joined so I could post, turns out most of the time I can’t unless I copy my post and keep on trying due to time outs. Bah! My year is up next month and I’m going to buy a case of beer instead. I’m sick of the can’t do attitude. ---

In all seriousness, don’t look for things to improve. It is a permanent problem on this board and ALWAYS has been. I don’t really know what they do with the $15 they charge each and every member here every year, but it is painfully obvious it isn’t for a decent server. So if you are entertaining the idea that renewing your membership will speed things up, you’re kidding yourself. Confidential to mods: I appologize in advance if the truth hurts. ---
