He was in the original **Hot Shots** you know. They dropped a bomb on him while he was sunning himself in a lounger at the end. It lands right in his lap and he spills his mai tai.

Hitler banned Chaplin’s The Great Dictator from Germany, but according to IMDb one day he got curious and watched it…

So who knows? I tend to doubt it, though.

True. But I got the impression that it was a hastily put-together bit, because this was just at the time of the first Gulf War. He got a fuller and more embarassing treatment in the second one.
