# A question about usernames

I signed up with this board last month after a short period of lurking, but I chose a username completely at random. I’d really like to change this to match my yahoo or college username, but I suspect I can’t do this with the same email address. Can I remove myself first, or does it not matter?

You should email an admin and politely request a name change.

Yep. **TubaDiva** usually handles those, but I’ve heard of people copying **Lynn Bodoni** on such requests, too, in case **TubaDiva** ’s tied up.

You can access any mod or admin’s e-mail address by clicking on their name at the top of the forum they oversee.
