A question on those photographs of galaxies from space telesccopes

The mechanistic model of spacetime is elegant, pretty and unworkable. The past and the future are compilations of information that have divers degrees of relevance to the big smear called the “present”. Information means what we understand/interpret it to mean, which makes the past and the future dynamic, as our understanding is constantly changing. The stars/galactic clusters in these images are not at all like what we are seeing, but here they exist solely as information about what they approximatly used to be like.
