Yup. Pernilla August (sp?) is in the cast of EpII. Poor woman probably signed on for all three films before she realized what she was doing.

As for the OP, my theory is that sometime after producing “Empire”, George’s brain exploded was reconstructed from old junk parts by an annoying 10-year-old moppet, which would also go a long way to explaining Jar-Jar.

Ok, the episode I is absolutely inconsistent. C-3P0 is supposed to be over 200 years old, at least (that was when he thinks he had his last memory wipe). Therefore, Darth Vader is at LEAST 190 years old, which doesn’t work. I didn’t like the whole C-3P0 thing at all.

Shoot, forgot something. First Obiwan claims in the original Trilogy that he was trained by Yoda, but then we see him being trained by Qui-Gonn. Second, Obiwan says (maybe in the books) that during a lightsaber excersise(sp), Anakin accidentally falls into a pool of some bad liquid that burned him badly. He was nearly dead by the time he was rescued, and he hated Obi-Wan from that point on. Anger leads to the Dark Side, remember.

You mean, Lucas casted her before he realized what he was doing. Fortunately he didn’t make the same mistake with Jake Lloyd. I hear he, Macauly Culkin and Elijah Wood are starting a business together, scrubbing toilets.

Apologize in advance for the spelling.

Ummmm… Elijah Wood is Frodo in the upcoming **Lord of the Rings** trilogy. First to be release for next Christmas, with the next two following in the next two years.

He could have been trained by Yoda at some point before Episode 1. Perhaps Yoda is the ‘basic training’ guy, and then the apprentices are assigned to a tutor for further instruction. Obiwan was already pretty skilled by the time we see him in Ep1, far more skilled than Luke Skywalker was when he went to Dagobah to train under Yoda.

That was in one of the books. Why Darth Vader needs breathing apparatus is never discussed in the movies, and neither is what specifically happened to cause him to break with the Light Side. Like with Star Trek, what is said in Star Wars books is OK as long as they don’t contradict the movies.

If C-3PO remembered his last memory wipe correctly, he’d have recognized Luke’s last name (and Obi-wan) in Episode IV. Therefore, someone will have to clear his memory (along with R2D2’s) between Episodes I and IV, and implant the impression that he hasn’t been wiped for a long time.

C3PO has a flux capacitor!?!?!! Coooooooool.
_Envisages Episode II_
_Anakin tinkering with 3P0_
“When this baby hits 55 you’re going to see some serious shit!!”
Actually THAT would explain how C3PO is 200 years old and has memory problems too… 😉

And I’d read/heard that Anakin was orginally almost killed in a lightsabre battle which required him to wear a life-support suit (Vader). The man who put him there? Obi-Wan. I hope this plays true - how cool would THAT be?

```auto
1959 Barbie dolls hit the stores, Fidel Castro takes over Cuba, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson die in a plane crash, Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone" made its debut, A former U.S. Marine from Fort Worth, Texas, announced in Moscow that he would never return to the United States. His name: Lee Harvey Oswald. Hawaii becomes the 50th US state.
It’s 88, actually. But who’s counting?
This is believed to be exactly so. And it may be clarified in Episode II. But currently that’s just rumour, so I dunno if it’s true or not. Yet.
D’oh! He’s 112… All I know is that the books infer that C-3P0 is very old, and even the card (I actually played the game, it’s fun) says, to quote “112 years old. Has never been memory wiped… as far as he knows”
The part I find odd is that his mom sold him to some guys who used binary lifters, instead of keeping him like her _son_ asked. Ah well, maybe she’s just a bad parent.
There are several throughout the movies. Two supposedly in Echo Base on Hoth, and one on cloud city. Their names are K-3P0, R-3P0, and U-3P0, respectively (sp). There also is one in Ep 1, but that doesn’t really count (I mean other than C-3P0). The -3P0 suffixmabobber is used to denote a protocal droid.
I know way too much about SW, don’t I?
Not wanting to point out the obvious (though some people seem to require it) but its a frigg’in ROBOT not some unique species… it’s a machine which means it’s built from manufactured parts. Now I know modern manufacturing techniques are somewhat limited today but I believe that in a future far, far away we may one day advance to the point that we can mass produce parts that look identical. Nah, you’re right… it’s a huge flaw in the movie.
PS. I’ve built computers from spare parts and yet it looks remarkably similiar to everyone else’s… maybe the kid just assembled a kit… he didn’t act to bright after all… _oohh, what does this button do…_ It’s the frigg’in fire button on the ships controller/joystick what the hell do you think it’ll do… open the door?!
