You must know 95% of the people here! (OK I bodged the math, but something like that.) You realise all the newbies will be pestering you to know who they are, right?
But sometimes, someone says something that just sticks with you. For example, for over two years now, when I get my VISA bill each month, I think Smeghead. 
And when I see someone saying something is this big (using thumb and index finger), I automatically think “I’m squishing your head!” thanks to Enright3.

I think a lot of it - being recognised - may have to do with which forums you hang out in. Many posters have favourite forums and rarely post in others. For example, if you post primarily in GD or Cafe Society, chances are I won’t have much of a clue who you are. However, if you post in IMHO or MPSIMS or GQ, then I’ll probably recognise you.

Back to topic: Stccrd, for some reason I always read your name as “Street Cred” as in “Street Credibility.” Nope, don’t know why, and don’t really know what it means.
There are a couple of people here whose names aren’t all that familiar to me, but whose locations I recognize, like VarlosZ, dwyr (because let’s face it, there’s a distinctive username), and Washte. Go figure.
I lurked for about four years before I registered, so I recognize a lot of users. I feel like I know so many people who have no clue who I am. FTR, I recognized all but two names here. 'Specially Meatros and Smeghead. You guys rock.
