# a registration question

I am curoius about how long, after a person registers, is it that their name can be found when doing a search using that name.

If I’m understanding this question correctly:

After their first post.

To test this: get a friend to sign up. Then when they have registered and such, do a search for their name. Before they post. Then do one after they post.

Let us know what happens.

After I thought about it for awhile, I remembered that when I registered, I got an email with a link in it. After I responded to the email, my name showed up at the top of the page under “newest member”, but not until I responded to the email. I guess I answered my own question and helped out to.
