I doubt I am alone these days in welcoming into my world at least the occasional uplifting, happy story. I came across [this wonderful piece](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/polish-children-adopted-by-maharaja-1.5351763) on CBC News today. I won’t be spoiling it too much by saying it stretches from 1939 to today, from Poland to Siberia, India to Canada, and from vilest evil to pure good. And all in a few hundred words. ---

Seems like ancient history, but it’s not. She’s still here able to tell her story. Serves as a good reminder of several different things, not the least of which is that there truly are good people in the world. ---
