I saw the so-called ā€œmindsā€ of my generation destroyed by the internet, raving hysterical stupid, dragging themselves through the myriad messageboards at dawn looking for an angry mob, overwrought wannabe demagogues burning for the furious connection to the righteous wrath in the machinery of the Web, who frustrated and bloated and sweaty-palmed sat up blogging in the supernatural darkness of Cheetos-stained flats floating across a sea of open windows contemplating furry porn, who bared their brains to Heaven on Straight Dope and saw the Teeming Millions staggering with laughter in countless threads, derisory, who passed through universities with red overstrained eyes absorbing outrage and Fark-light tragedy among the scholars of inequality, who were expelled from the academies for crazy & publishing obscene odes on the bulletin boards of their dorms, who cowered in unshaven rooms in underwear, burning their money on iPhone apps and listening to Radiohead on tattered headphones, and who ran through the cold URLs obsessed with a sudden flash of the alchemy of the use of the ellipse the catalog the meter & the absence of punctuation or sense, who dreamt and made incarnate stories of the Timecube & the Truth about 9/11 through images juxtaposed, and trapped the nonsense of the ether between the sublime and the ridiculous and joined the elemental verbs and set the noun and dash of consciousness together jumping with sensation of thundering unrelenting trollery to recreate the syntax and measure of poor human prose and stand before you brainless and unintelligent and shaking with blame, rejected yet confessing out the soul to conform to the rhythm of echos in his naked and endless head, the madman bum and Doper roasted in the Pit, unloved, yet putting down here what might be left to mock in time come after banning, and rose incarnate in the ghostly clothes of self-assumed martyrdom in the fractured recollections of the Millions and blew the suffering of the mindless sheeple for love into an _blah blah yadda yadda yadda_ incoherent rant that bewildered the moderators down to the last paragraph with the absolute heart of the ignorance made one with their own bodies good to eat a thousand years.
