Imagining myself in such a situation I’d already be doing poorly just from all the noise; loud and shrill noises give me instant headaches. (And yes, this _does_ make some of my younger relatives painful to be around.) Once the kid shouted directly at me, thus inviting a response, I’d be very much inclined to reveal unmasked irritation in my suggestion that he stop bugging me. And when the mother inevitably confronted me, my response would probably not be particularly witty, and along the lines that she should please kindly get her kid under control and away from me. Things would presumably degenerate from there, particularly since I’m not really the mike-dropping stride away type. Fortunately for me, I apparently don’t live in the same sitcom as **Scylla** and have not been accosted this way. I _have_ seen loud bratty kids demanding things at stores -once just a week or so ago, in fact!- but the kid constrained herself to pestering her parent and I walked away, and all was well. (Okay, possibly not for the parent, but whichever.) ---

I can’t read the link because it requires me to sign up for stuff, but I assume it describes Scylla using 80 some Belgian civilians as a shield to capture a bridge, or tying Polish civilians to tanks while annihilating Warsaw, or maybe Scylla built some concentration camps around military targets? Because if not, and you are using the term “human shield” as some sort of hyperbolic rhetorical device, it trivializes those historic events, which is fucking repugnant. ---

It describes an all too common behavior of conservatives these days of accusing their opponents on the left of being anti-semites despite speaking and behaving in anti-semitic ways when it suits their purpose. This is the exact kind of thing **Scylla** does. He describes Ilhan Omar as a true blue anti-semite baselessly one day, and a different day he employs a well known [anti-semitic canard](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitic_canard#Controlling_the_media) to attack George Soros for something he had literally nothing to do with. For the cherry on top, he thought it was a good idea to spread anti-semitic lies and conspiracy theories about George Soros a week after Cesar Sayoc, who believed anti-semitic lies and conspiracy theories about George Soros, tried to murder Soros with a pipe bomb. ---
