It’s cloudy, looks like it might snow again, and we’ve got a balmy 32 F (just enough for stuff to thaw - and probably re-freeze overnight) so yeah, might go walkin’ too. ETA: should probably crank on a pedometer app. I’ve been wandering for miles lately at night. ---

Well, I can tell this was my first walk of the year. I usually walk a little over 3 mph. Today each mile took 21 minutes. Plus a girl stopped her car and asked me if I’d seen her dog. It seems I did, but he was still in the yard at the time. I went around the block instead of coming straight home on my last lap around the park so I could see if she found him. He’d found his way home, and her next-door neighbours had him under control. She arrived a few minutes later. She was looking for him at the beach when her German Shepherd’s tracking device kicked in, and she was like ‘What? He’s home?’ Anyway, I walked 2.24 miles. ---

Birthday skritches to **Gordie**! **cookie** , I’m still dealing with the crazies with my marketplace stuff for sale. Once they’re sold, I don’t plan on selling anything else that way until I retire and have time (and a better sense of humor) to deal with that. I still buy stuff from there though. Got the Sunday chores done, fixed supper (lentil - quinoa soup and mixed greens for those keeping score) and completed another layout in the cookbook. This evening, I’ll set up for the next one. Howdy all. Went to the gym finally to go swimming, found all the lanes occupied and a few more folks waiting, so I sat in the whirlpool for about 15 minutes then the sauna for 15 more and figured that was enough for Sunday. Ate at Cracker Barrel, had a 40-minute wait time (I think they are short of help, only 40% of the place had seats filled, but it did give me time to read a lot of my Sunday paper. Then one quick shopping stop and home I came. Dishes are washing away in the dishwasher and the temperature is still 45F, so all in all not a bad day. Still have to learn how to operate my cellphone (might procrastinate until tomorrow). **Flyboy** , dog apparently knew where the treats can be found. Glad it was that simple. **Cupcakes** , British humor tends to make me smile…so I did listening to that… **FCM** , family inheritance seems to be a particular bone when it comes to families. I still need to get my will looked at and approved by a lawyer-type, maybe this month (or the next…) **Drsunflower** , don’t be lurkin’, be participatin’!! And I recommend his MMP name be **Plant Doc**. **nellie** , take care of yourself now; this is where I think it goes wrong for a lot of folks, they don’t take care or watch what they are doing. You will take good care, I know…but a little nagging never hurt… **BBBoo** , I still remember my Mom making homemade noodles, along with Pot Roast and Gravy and Green Beans, it was one of my favorite growing-up meals. **Sari** , I can see the soap opera over the fence has started Act 1; we’ll see how far they take it. OK, Need to unpack dishwasher and finish my Sunday puzzles, then see if there is time left over for Cellphone 101…all y’all take care and I’ll catch you on the next MMP. ---

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had leftover N.O.L., achieved nappage, and honed our sloth skills. The biiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can has been hauled all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Thus was Sunday in swampland. Partner (of JDD and Partner) is in the horsepistol. He’s been sick with some kinda stomach virus for a few days. Last night apparently, his sugar bottomed out and he hit the floor and dislocated his shoulder but did not want to go to the ER, the dumbass. This mornin’ he was in pain so to the ER they went. He got admitted due to the fact that he was fairly dehydrated and needs fluids. So, he’s there, on fluids, his shoulder was popped back into place (he got morphine for the pain), and they want to keep him for at least a couple of days for some tests and so forth. We can’t visit because the horsepistol has a one visitor per day rule except in some unusual circumstances. Anywho, thoughts, prayers, mojo etc. appreciated. We talked to him on the phone, and yes, we did call him dumbass for not goin’ last night. JDD also called him a dumbass, so it is unanimous. **CupCakes** that gave me the giggles. Very creative! **MOOOOOOM** sometimes family is the most awful group of people in the world. **Plant Doc** I like the name, welcome to the MMP. Come back and play some more. We’re mostly nice. **Sari** sounds like a pull up a seat and make popcorn situation brewin’ there. ---

Holy mother, I’m hurting. Probably wimpy of me when **Partner** is surely in worse pain, but he’s got morphine, and I’ve got…a cold pack. I don’t understand what went wrong. I figured I’d walk to Panera to get a salad. It’s an 8 minute walk, so within the guidelines. I placed my order online and left. I was in considerable pain before I walked 2 minutes, so it can’t be just the distance. Since I’d placed the order, I had to get it. Standing also hurt, so Uber not an option. And the pain is all on one side and down the leg. What the frick? I’m home and lying down. **MetalMouse** , I’m _exactly_ the kind of person who needs to be nagged at, but I swear, I didn’t overdo. I just now took a pain pill. ☹ **swampy** , I’ve already commenced praying for poor ol’ **Partner**. Any friend of Swampy’s is worth prayers and good vibes. Keep us posted. In happier news, my son and his wife have a new canine addition to their family. They’ve long adopted older dogs and have two old gals, but this guy’s only 4, a border collie mix, so energetic and smart. He’s a rescue dog, as all theirs are. Someone dumped him, poor boy. Can’t wait to meet him! ---

**nellie** and **partner** and everybody else who needs it. {{{hugs}}} I, for one, am doing poorly. I dunno the equivalent of sciatica in one’s arm, but I’m having numbness in my left ring finger and pinky. I’m quite depressed. I don’t really see much point in continuing with what I’m doing. Nobody would really miss me, except my landlord wouldn’t get rent on my shop. ---

I think **Janes’s** advice is wiser than mine. Get thyself to a dog! And the warm pack couldn’t hurt. A wet washcloth, in a ziplock bag, microwaved, works great. I could send you an envelope of cat fur if it would be better than nothing. I agree about not knowing what I’d do without warm fur to touch every day. Tidiness is overrated. Strew those toys everywhere! Buy pet colored curtains and couches so the fur doesn’t show.
