He denied Russia’s invasion of Crimea, echoing Ford’s gaffe about the Soviets not dominating Eastern Europe. The only change he wanted in the RNC platform was to soften the language against Russia. If Hillary surrounded herself with the same people back in '08 the GOP would’ve called her a plant.

Trump might turn out to be even more accomodating to the Russians, but so far all we have to go on is semi-fawning talk.
