Went to a friendā€™s birthday party last night. Brought some ā€œpsychedelicā€ cookies I made (they were just fancy colours - no drugs in them.) Had a random conversation with my friendā€™s friend, about music and cats. Good times. šŸ™‚ ---

Back from Breakfast at Bertā€™s! šŸ˜ƒ The laundry is sorted and the first load is in the machine. \*\*FCD \*\*is futzing with aquarium stuff - mixing chemicals and such. He wonā€™t be able to do the water change till later because he drew off several gallons of water and now he needs to make some more. Meanwhile, itā€™s wet and no sign of sun, 60% chance of storms all day - I wonā€™t be working outside, so my back gets a rest. I need to empty then reload the dishwasher, and I should run the vacuum. But mostly, I foresee a lazy-ish day. That works. šŸ˜ƒ \*\*flytrap \*\*- I alerted my spousal unit that I gave you his email. But I warn you, he may tell you more than you ever wanted to knowā€¦ ---

Itā€™s been a bit of a crazy week for me, and the weekend is here. Iā€™m mainlining coffee at the moment and soon will head back upstairs to clean up. Today we go SUV hunting for my son. I found a few on line and weā€™re going to check one of them out today because itā€™s a really good deal, clean, good CarFax, and under 90,000 miles. I want my son to have something thatā€™s going to get him back and forth across the mountains with little to no trouble and is big enough to haul his stuff back and forth from college. I also want it to be reliable and trouble free. If that one doesnā€™t work out, weā€™ll keep up the hunt. I hope this one does, because he really likes it. After that, if thereā€™s time, itā€™s off to hunt for new cell phones and a new plan. This evening is full too because weā€™re taking the moms out to dinner to celebrate Motherā€™s Day. We figured it was better to do it this evening than fight the crowds tomorrow. Also, it kind of works better for me because that means tomorrow, hopefully, the day is mine and I can take care of the stuff I want to do. First on the list is a pedicure. Iā€™m in dire need of one. The weather was just stunning all week and I didnā€™t wear open toed shoes because my poor tootsies need a pedicure. Of course, now that I may have time to get one, the weather is turning bad again, but thatā€™s okay. ---

Itā€™s nice to take a break. In this day we worked together as a family to get the old 1996 Boston Whaler cleaned up & ready for the season, and by 4pm we had it [on the water for the first time this season](http://youtu.be/5fXpZIlp60A). Thatā€™s my son behind the wheel. My dad bought that boat a month after I was born. 46 years ago. It was nice to get my kids together to join in on the tradition of prepping the boat for the year: cleaning, maintenance, and restocking. Definately happy the kids jumped right in with the scrubbing and stocking, and no whining. I needed this weekendā€¦ ---
