“I am expressing.” “So, your printer doesn’t work, and you are making coffee?” My back hurts. Frozen pork and leek dumplings for dinner, I went to Kroger and bought them after I got home. Only a third of a cup of rice left, it was yucky and crunchy from the rice maker. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) liked both items of dinner. Perseus, the cat who slew the gorgon, became trapped in some green bag with straps belonging to Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) and had to ask for help. She was further insulted by Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) telling me, in her presence, “You cat is a moron.” I must remember to buy rice tomorrow. ---

Wow - lots of late night mumpers tonight… I thought I was one of the only ones with variable insomnia. (Well, **doggio** was probably up watching the Red Wings win in OT, but other than that…) Evening, all. It has been so mild here lately that I think I shall go outside for an evening stroll around the yard (it’s still in the upper sixties, even at this hour) and finish my glass of wine. Apparently, I already have results on the pear-ripening experiment: group #3 (in paper bag, with banana) are nearly perfectly ripe (they’ll be just right tomorrow, I think), while group #2 (in paper bag, no banana) are still a bit crunchy and lacking in flavor. Group #1 (control group, in basket on the same counter as the other two batches) are noticeably harder to the touch than the other two. Anyone have any other alleged ripening techniques I should try in a future experiment? 🙂 ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 56 Amurrkin with a predicted high of 76 and sunny for the day. Then warmin’ on up into the 80s! Hope the back is better **flytrap**. **Nettie** the real question is do the pears taste bananaey or does the banana taste pearey. Ok, that’s all I got. Need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. The banana emerged from the bag in a state only fit to become banana bread (or some other baked good). There was a reason for me to call it a “sacrificial banana”, after all. 😉 Reminds me, what else can one do with overripe bananas? I like the bread, but could use some variety. ---
