Object of the game: Give the most popular answer for each category. Rules: 1. No reading the thread before answering. This is on the honor system. 2. Formatting rules must be followed (see below). 3. Joke answers will not be considered, as it is not fair to other players. 4. Google (etc.) is allowed, if you desire. 5. Maximum 50 entrants, and I’ll score it when I have time. 6. There is no Rule 6. 😉 7. Special Rules for this particular Feud: **see below** Formatting rules: To make semi-automated scoring possible, and my job easier, make your post look exactly like this: 8. answer 9. answer 10. answer 11. answer No double spacing, no smilies, no urls, no periods, no quote marks, and no punctuation if it is not necessary. Put “pass” if you want to leave an answer blank. If you feel you must qualify your answer, do it AFTER THE LIST! If you don’t format like this, your answers might be DISQUALIFIED. Scoring: With 50 entrants, an answer with a match is worth 2x the number of people matching it. If 4 people match, they each get 8 points for that answer. No matches = 0 points. Formula: Score = 100 / (# of entrants) x (# of matches) Anyone who responds to a question with two answers will only have the first one counted as their answer. Good luck! Names or titles only, please. “Duke of Ellington” or “Werther” would be acceptable, if only they were names used in Shakespeare. Functions or relationships, such as ‘servant’, ‘sailor’, ‘spirit’, ‘watchman’, ‘wife’, ‘his son’, etc. are too easy, and unworthy of the great minds of the SDMB. 1. All answers must be characters from the works of William Shakespeare. No Marlowe, Jonson, Kyd, Webster… May it please you to name… 1. A character whose name begins with ‘B’. 2. A character who is a King. 3. A character who is not a human being. (Ghosts, sprites, fairies, monsters, etc. are all possibilities here.) 4. A character who is a Queen. 5. A character who sings a song. 6. A character whose name begins with ‘S’ 7. A character who speaks while in disguise. 8. A character who dies onstage. 9. A character who is a Hero/Heroine. 10. A character who is a Villain/Villainess. ---

Iago I may have been overly-influenced by Shakespeare in the Parks showing _Much Ado about Nothing_ and _The Merchant of Venice_ this season. 1: I considered Benedick, but I think there are multiple characters named Beatrice in the plays, so more chance for matches. 3: Better known as “Puck”, but that’s not his name. 5: Full fathoms five… 7: From _Twelfth Night_. Could have been almost anyone, really. 9: Not many folks in Shakespeare who are what you might actually call heroic. ---
