Ah, Coldfire, you kill me. As for Cessandra being a slut, well, she did offer to have sex with all the guys in the chatroom last night. I took her up on her offer, and it was nice, until she called out Auraseer’s name. Judge for yourself on that one. I was angry at first, until I realized that a) I’m 16 and male, b) I’m horny, and c) I really don’t care. Let’s do that again sometime, Cess. That was very nice! ---

Having sex with many anonamous partners for the sake of fun is, eventually, just plain sad. It proves the person in question is morally empty. It also proves that that persons affections are not worth fighting for. What isn’t worth fighting for isn’t worth having. I also think women who say they don’t care and are just having fun are lying to themselves and trying to solve something the wrong way. ---

I was a virgin until I was 20. I have known about sex since I was old enough to speak. My parents were frank about it with me from the moment I asked a question about it. I’m the only girl and the oldest child, so my father was very protective of me. He told me that a guy would say anything to get in my pants and I believed him. (I still do.) So, throughout high school I “fooled around” with a lot of different guys. I had a ton of fun in high school! During my sophomore year I kept a list of initials of guys that I had kissed - by the end of that year I had 24 sets. I was called a “slut” by girls who didn’t like me and a “prick tease” by guys who I thought were nice but was wrong about. I was neither a slut nor a prick tease. I didn’t sleep with anyone until I was out of high school. If the “fooling around” got hotter or heavier than kissing, I told **every** guy that I would **not** have intercourse with them and if they couldn’t handle that, we could stop. If they pressured me after that, I’d leave. ---

By the way, I did have some serious relationships during high school and my infamous two semesters of college. My husband was the only one who took “I’ll have sex with you when I’m ready” as an answer and **never** brought it up again. ---

Maybe we’ve decided that our physical needs are separate from our emotional needs. Maybe, like my friend G.H., we’ve decided that we aren’t in need of love right now and would prefer sex, thank you. It’s a diverse world. Certainly, in some cases it’s a maladaptive coping habits. But there’s a bit more diversity than you’re implying. Oh, and “fighting for”? Whose affections are you after - Guinevere’s? ---
