There are some songs that seem to be superfluous to the music. One example is [Parents](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHPCtgmtS68&t=3m27s), which has a great three-and-a-half bridge upon which the song is just the crust wrapped around it. Similarly, Hunting Girl is a song that just cannot stand up to the breathtaking intro that leads into it, and you mostly just muddle through the first part of Comfortably Numb in order to get to the end-piece. ---

And in a reversal of the OP, for a disliked number _save for one little saving grace_ - the end of Steve Miller’s meh “Fly Like an Eagle” has that wind sound accompanied by a repeated single keyboard note that calls to my mind floating spacecraft. (Which, I spose, creates a bit of a metaphorical conundrum for the title, which is about an eagle.) (Oh well - gallic shrug.) ---
