This is one we forgot about. If y’all wanna cook out (hamburgers, dogs, etc.), who among us feels him/herself best qualified? My Dad always did it for us, and I haven’t done it since I was married (about 18 years ago), and if I remember correctly, the only one ever satisfied with my cooking prowess was _me_, since I like my meat rare! 😉 Q ---

This is excellent. Mapquest says 3 hours but Mapquest is usually BruceSpeed \* 0.5. 😃 ---

[This](http://gastateparks.org/page.asp?itemid=5790&wrapid=1) picture looks like it could be the one you reserved. I’m so excited!!! This is gonna be fun. I’m gonna think about what I’ll bring food-wise, and let you know, **torie**. a question, **quasi** , the description of the picnic shelters says that _some_ of the shelters have grills…do you know for sure that the one you reserved has at least one?..just askin’! ---

Our shelter _does_ have a grill, and I am looking forward to meeting you and all the others.😃 Let’s try to get a definite head count at least a week and a half prior to the event, so that if we grill out, we waste as little as possible. I’d love to attend but I don’t know about hauling my old butt all the way up to Cartersville (isn’t that exit 312 or so on I-75, so about 300 miles or more north of the state borders. One way about 500 miles). I’ll have to see if’n I can get it to coincide with some business in Atlanta or something. Long road trips are for young bucks like **Bambi** and the **Bear**. Speaking of bears, maybe you can have the next one of these at **Swampbear** ’s place. I hear tell he has a cement pond. Or an above ground one, either way. ---

And in the words of The Atlanta Rhythm Section, we are gonna have ourselves “A Large Time!” Or was that **Fiver** who wrote those words? 😃 Y’all please write our **torie** and let her know what you’re bringing, and I will endeavor to starve myself one week prior to the picnic so that I might partake of all your good “vittles” with no guilt! 😉 I hope that we will meet all the fine folks who were at the **GeoBills** housewarming again! Y’all were terrific, and the conversation was great! Of course, I will miss **DoomTrain** and **Morelin** (unless they decide to come down), but we will have a great Sunday afternoon on Red Top Mountain, and if **DoomTrain** will send me his number in an e-mail, we’ll give them both a call and let them know how much we miss them. The rest of you South-East (or nationwide) Dopers, remember: this ain’t just for us Georgia “red-necks”. It’s for anyone who wants to attend. If you’re coming from way out of town, send me an e-mail and I’ll help with your accomodations. “Y’all Come!” (and bring guitars and other instruments of mass-devastation!) Quasi ---
