Home. Tired. Glad the work week is over. I got my current project from hell all assembled and forwarded to the Tech QA guy for review. I also got one of our imagery guys to solve a dumb problem I was having, plus he reminded me how to do something I’d forgotten all about. I’ve been following the news about the floods in Pakistan and I saw a graphic today that really illustrated the extent of the affected areas. They superimposed the affected provinces?/districts?/whatevers over the east coast of the US - it stretched from Maine to the southern end of North Carolina. Having driven in all the states covered except Vermont, I really got a feel for how widespread the flooding is. Dang. And something like 17 million people are displaced. But of course, it hardly makes the news here because reality show celeb did or said something… :rolleyes: \*\*FCD \*\*needs some stuff from Lowe’s so we’re going out to eat tonight before buying his stuff. daughter should be calling any time now to let us know she’ll be coming home. My weekend includes carpet cleaning, some painting, and lots of laundry. rah. I had a stupid dream that Scruffy was barking, and it woke me up! Dog was sound asleep, but I was mad at her for waking me in my dream. How pathetic is that?? Happy Firday! ---

**MMMMMMMMMs** , did they use the letters BPPV? If so, what they did is called [The Eply Maneuver,](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epley_maneuver) and you can do that one yourself. If not, forget I said anything. Everybody else does. ---

Just waiting on my son to get cleaned up and then we can head out to get a new bookbag/daypack for him, along with some school supplies. He has most of the supplies, just needs paper, etc. I couldn’t figure out why I was so tired today and then hit me. I didn’t have coffee today. This explains a lot. ---

I have BPPV myself and have done the Eply a number of times, only I only hold the poses for the count of 30. It fixes me right up, for a few months at a time. 🙂 I’m one of those fortunate people who never get motion sickness, but I do get tired of running into things and bruising myself up, so i was real happy to discover I could do something about it in the privacy of my own home. I hope yours resolves quickly. ---

Thank God my father is ok. He was driving on the expressway when his tire blew out and he hit a wall going 70mph. The wheel and tire are destroyed and the right side is scratched, but he’s ok. ---

My son and I survived Wally World. We got him a nice daypack/bookbag and some school supplies. After, we went to Wendy’s and picked up lunch for us and the hubby. Hubby pulled into the driveway the same time as us, so it was perfect timing. I offered to take my son to the mall too, so we could get him some jeans and shirts, but he opted to pass on that today. He didn’t feel like it. Whatever, worked for me. I should vaccuum upstairs and run the steam cleaner on both the upstairs hallway and the stairs. Maybe I’ll do it, maybe I won’t. We’ll see. ---

Dang, **Sticky Buns**! :eek: Glad your dad is OK! We went to the pub for dinner. They seated us in the bar. The singer is in the bar. It’s hard to have a conversation when someone is singing. In the future, we’ll asked to be seated elsewhere. But the food was good, the calamari as usual was superb, and we’s all stuffded. \*\*FCD \*\*got most of what he needed at Lowe’s. Daughter got some stuff she needed. I just walked around with them. Now we’re home and I’m gonna chill. The end. ---

Sorry about the vertigo, **mmmmmmmmmm**. Hope it clears up soon. Had bean tacos for dinner and then some applesauce (applesauce sounded good, for no apparent reason). It was lovely out today (I don’t think it even hit 80), but I didn’t really get out. And it’s supposed to be hot again the next couple days. So tired of the heat. Off to relax for the rest of the evening. Am going to try to get up early to get things done in the garden. Not sure what else is on my itinerary yet. I have friends coming to visit next weekend. Since my summer has been a parade of visitors, there’s not a whole lot I have to do to get ready. Yay! Hope the job search becomes unnecessary, **Missy** (or that you quickly land your dream job!). This week was pretty sucky, so I thought. I was hoping to relax tonight, since it’s finally Friday. My neighbor was murdered tonight. Shot in front of my house and I didn’t hear a damn thing. The street in front of my house is still blocked off, waiting for daylight, I assume. Anyway, I can’t sleep and I’m still really freaked out by the whole thing. I’m assuming it was the house where all the yelling’s been going on for the last week, that is, next door. How the hell did I miss a gunshot? I feel guilty: I was playing a stupid computer game with lots of yelling and noise and Tisiphone was banging around the house. Meanwhile, my neighbor was being murdered right outside my front door. So my week really didn’t suck that much after all. You know, compared to the alternative. ---

Dang, **Shadow**!! That’s all kinds of creepy. But you know in your logical mind that there’s \*nothing \*for you to feel guilty about. And even if you’d heard the shot, what would you have done, gone out there? To get shot yourself?? :eek: Up early, of course. I got the dogs out before they could pee on anything, but while I was cleaning the cat box, Taz peed on the love seat. WTF is up with my animals?!?!?? I’m going to put them all in a box on the curb with a sign that says “Free - take 'em all!!” Stoopit animals. It dropped to the low 60s last night, so it’s glorious and cool right now. It won’t last, but I’ll keep the house open as long as I can. I really should shower and run to WalMart while it’s early, before it’s overrun with crazies. I only need a few things. Maybe I’ll see if my sweetie wants breakfast and we can make a morning date of it. Happy Saturday! ---

Ribs are smokin’ away. Thus I am bein’ a manly man cause it’s meat in an outdoor cooker! 😃 I’m thinkin’ they should be ready to take off the smoker by around eleven thirtyish this a.m. Then they shall be put in a slow cooker set on low to keep warm until dindin time. MMMMMMM… RIBS! Roast beast is now in a slow cooker to hang out and do it’s slow cook thang all day for tomorrow’s lunch. ---
