Howdy Y’all! I got tired of stoopid teevee, so I shall see whatup on teh intartoobz for a bit whilst OYKW watches one of his endless crime shows. **Dicey** HUZZAH for stuff on the walls! Now you can look at the stuff and say you did that. **Nettie** umm.. OOPS (N.O.O.)! I meant that for **Nellie.** I am old and have only two functionin’ brain cells. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it. **BBBoo and Mollie** now I yearn for afternoon tea with little sammiches, scones, clotted cream and such. **WetOne** Texas Roadhouse is good, but I agree with the lunch over dinner option. We are too cheap thrifty to do dinner options. Besides, there’s always too many people then. However, maybe an early bird special on occasion ain’t too bad. \*\*Cat\_Glove that’s a sweet story about a happy in your life. Also, HUZZAH on findin’ your rosary! Appropriate/inappropriate appendages are crossed re the biopsy. _On Eagle’s Wings_ is a great hymn! **lucky** may the witch continue to not cackle. **BobBob** ICK! I have never encountered bedbugs. May my luck continue. I will be stayin’ in a hotel Thursday and Firday of next week. I am now convinced there are bedbugs plannin’ their course of attack. Evening all. Gym was sweated and Sonic Drive-In provided replacement calories, so things are in balance (and gym scale says 201.4lbs, so it is back in my good graces for now). Evening will be internettin’ and watching some tackleball, otherwise sloth will rule. **Nut** , might be some stress, but sounds like you have a way forward now. We’ll see. And back after watching _"Pardon the Interruption_ on TV and then getting distracted by other things (tackleball game, puzzle, apple) for another hour, but back to soldiering through. **wet one** , hope you enjoy the Roadhouse, and dinner is not too bad, I can get a 11oz sirloin with salad, fries, rolls/butter and a Diet Coke for $32 (tip included), which is about what you’ll pay in most ‘family steakhouses’ anymore. Other prices vary. And that’s the Sunday noontime menu, BTW. **Cat Glove** , a tear for your friend’s loss and the classy way you handled it. And yeah, those pesky things that are hiding in the last place we look… Enjoy the toum, whatever that is…looked it up, happy saucing and dipping. **Lucky** , may the clacking be still forevermore. **2bob** , nice to see you about the place again. Don’t be a stranger (we have enough strange folks already…). Just for the record, I still _hate_ FireTV! I had to restart the one in the bedroom twice and relog into my Jungle account. **metal mouse** I used to teach water exercise which is VERY good for people who have had hip replacements. I knew a number of people whose doctors advised them to go get in a pool with a bouyancy belt on and do some water walking, at a minimum. I know you likely can’t tell your brother but maybe his wife? On the way out of the restaurant I saw her youngest outside with his daughter. I promised I would look in on my friend every so often. She was very upbeat yesterday and today. We are both concerned that she’s acting on adrenaline now and how she will feel in a few days once all the relatives return to their homes. 90+% of the people who came to the funeral and luncheon were relatives and a big extended family who came from all over the state and out of state. I just live 4 blocks away so I’ll be walking over. **JtC & MetalMouse** yesterday I took Bella on the Lakeview Trail in the woods just adjacent to a lake. Some of the trees were spectacular, reds, oranges, yellow, interspersed with dark green, lime green. I took pics with my iPhone and sent them to Daughter and DG. They praised them. I should probably iron a couple of nice shirts, as on Thursday, Firday and Sattidy of next week I will need them to wear at Diocesan convention. I’ll need real pants as well. Oh the drudgery! Morning. No real plans for the day here, although I have apparently succumbed to peer pressure and stuck some laundry on. Its another very windy day, though not to the same degree as the weekend. Forecast says rain, but I suspect we’ll have very little- it’s often wrong when the wind is blowing from that direction. Not sure if I shall risk sticking any laundry out to dry or not; this is what passes for thrill seeking for me nowadays. I should get on with some proper sensible job hunting, but I wanna just be an RDOS for a bit first… ---

Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 12c/53f with a predicted high of 13c/55f and partly cloudy. Yesterday was a busy irk day with much irkage from students who seem to think that I exist solely for their benefit, have access to absolutely everything, and am sitting here just waiting for their latest demand to fall into my inbox. It was a relief to shut the laptop off and sort out the bins instead. I went to the gym, came back and hauled the biiiig bin out to the kerb for today’s recycling collection. It was also joined by the shiny new kitchen scraps bin. Much excitement today then, our new kitchen scraps collection started! The binmen came and collected the recycling at the usual 7am slot so I went out and hauled the biiiig bin back to where it lives. The kitchen caddy is collected by a different dustcart but that had been emptied by 8am (didn’t even hear that one go up the street). It’s a new service that takes food scraps, fruit and veg peelings, used tea bags, coffee grounds and uneaten pet food. We had this service a few years ago but the council abandoned it, now it’s been brought back as a government initiative…but it seems I am the only person on the street who put the little bin out. Thus I went outside again and carried the little caddy back to where it lives in the porch. I have various things I want to get done today, 'im indoors is going out later and will return with yummy Indian food for lunch, and I’ll be at the gym later after I’ve sorted out campus food for the rest of the week. He has also taken some leftover mac 'n cheese out of the freezer for tonight’s dinner. Now it’s time to drink more tea! ---

We start the day with 45 Ferrets, on the way to upper 60s.. I will get out and at least prep the iris bed - no promises for getting anything planted, but who knows. I have all of the remaining parts of my quilt project done. Today I start on assembly! ---

Here’s what the tags say: Main Body: 87% nylon, 13% elastane; Lining: 53% merino wool, 47% lyocell - that’s the powdered blue one, it’s a different style than the black and navy blue. Their tags say: Shell: 83% nylon, 17% elastane; Lining: 67% merino wool, 23% nylon, 10% elastane. They are very soft, merino wool is not itchy at all. Need to get a move on, have to leave for dermo appt in 15 minutes. Afterwards, I’ll likely be an RDOS for most of the day catching up on some dvr’d shows. Enjoy your day! Oh, one thing before I scoot off. **shoe** , I really like your choice of topic this week. I think I’ll make an effort to find at least one tiny spot of happiness each day. Mine started today shortly before 1am. I was scrolling Instagram. I follow @schultzmuseumschultzmuseumschultzmuseumschultzmuseum. They do a capture called “On This Day” of comic strips from years gone past. The one I saw was from 1951. It had a little girl who looked like possibly the prototype for Violet asking Charlie Brown “And what would you like to have for dessert, Sir?” Charlie Brown replies “What kind of pie do you have?” Response: “Lemon, Pumpkin, Apple and Peach!” Then she says “Of course, it won’t matter which you order…” Last box: “They’re all made out of mud!!” Why this was a spot of happiness for me was that it brings to mind numerous days out at our grandparents’ cottage when my cousin and I would make cakes and pies in the sand/dirt area then would go on walks along the dirt road and pick flowers to decorate our creations. I took a screen shot of the comic and sent it to my cousin this morning. Hope she enjoys it as much as I did.
