At 6:00 sharp, I’d like to find some of these people, and as the crucial time comes and goes, say: “Beautiful evening, isn’t it?” And the then as I depart, “See you tomorrow!” ---

It was really just a minor media frenzy over a publicity campaign that made this look like it was more popular than it really was. These are the times I wish I ran a cable news channel. Because I would have handed down an editorial directive that any coverage of this would be from the POV of at the very least dismissal up to outright mockery. ---

My dentist showed me a postcard he had received from the lab that he uses that said they would shut down all operations on May 2 to prepare for May 21. My dentist said that he thought it was a joke (he had not heard of it before), but sure enough they closed down & he had to find another lab. this is in Northern New Jersey, mind you, not the Bible belt. I imagine they are having an unpleasant morning. ---
