I’m amused at the idea that someone, somewhere, now has to spend the rest of their weekend preparing for that meeting that’s happening on Monday after all.

At 6:00 sharp, I’d like to find some of these people, and as the crucial time comes and goes, say:
“Beautiful evening, isn’t it?”
And the then as I depart,
“See you tomorrow!”
But that’s just it- you’ll have a VERY hard time finding any of those people! EVERY church I know of was planning to hold services tomorrow and the next Sunday and the next Sunday after that.
Exactly. It was really just a minor media frenzy over a publicity campaign that made this look like it was more popular than it really was.
These are the times I wish I ran a cable news channel. Because I would have handed down an editorial directive that any coverage of this would be from the POV of at the very least dismissal up to outright mockery.
My dentist showed me a postcard he had received from the lab that he uses that said they would shut down all operations on May 2 to prepare for May 21. My dentist said that he thought it was a joke (he had not heard of it before), but sure enough they closed down & he had to find another lab. this is in Northern New Jersey, mind you, not the Bible belt.
I imagine they are having an unpleasant morning.
Why? He is a major league clown stupid enough to predict the end of the world when he is still around to take the heat for being wrong again. You know he did it once before.
If there is a god, someone who says they know what god thinks and plans is lying. He is a shyster. That includes every priest and religious leader who says he speaks to god and knows what god intends. They just want your money.
