I’ve had them. They taste a lot like fried fish… the finbits that are all crispy and good. They were a lot smaller than that though. ---

I once brought home a “scorpion in amber” goodie as a gift to my Cherished Spouse; the “amber” was clear crystal barley-sugar, the scorpion real. Or so the label said. It came with this informative info sheet saying the scorpion was completely edible. I think he still has it hidden somewhere, though. ---

I wonder what you do with the stinger. Is it removed? Is it poisonous? Does the roasting denature the toxic proteins? Would you possibly get a scorpion stinger stuck twixt your tooth and gum like a popcorn husk and have to explain to your dentist why you have a terrible inflammation caused by eating spiced scorpions? That said, I’d give 'em a go. ---

The noble savages of sSouth America eat tarantulas roasted over a fire. They use the fangs as toothpicks. Supposed to taste like smoked lobster or something. BS. They taste like roasted tarantulas! Anyways, you’d probably be able to use the scorpstinger as a toothpick. That’s what I was getting at. And don’t forget, you got to brush the hairs off a tarantula before you eat it. ---

I’d probably eat one if I got it at a restaurant or from a vendor. No way am I eating a scorpion or anything else I get from ebay. ---

I’m just not eating anything from anybody who tells me that scorpions evolved from amphibians. At least, I’m not eating scorpions from them. How am I to trust that they’re really providing me with an edible species? ---
