If he wants to appeal doesn’t he have to put up a bond equal to the amount of the judgement? I seem to remember that from the Trump E Jean Carroll case. ---

You are probably be right – I’m not familiar enough with federal law to say. That would be hilarious. 😃 I do hope it’s true! I long ago pegged Rudy as Most Likely to Commit Suicide before this whole arc of justice is completed. Whatever way it goes, Rudy is fucked. ---

I’m sure he’ll appeal all of it. But collection on the judgment only gets stayed if he posts a bond for the whole amount. ---

I still can’t believe a Attorney with Rudy’s decades of practice would say something so obviously foolish. Sure, he was a friend of Trump. But no attorney is going to willingly risk being charged with defamation. A 2nd year law student knows better than that. I guess Rudy got swept up into Trump’s paranoia and now Rudy is on the hook for a massive settlement that can never be paid. Does NY even have homestead protection? Will Rudy lose his primary domicile? It’s his stupid screw-up. ---
