> This politics and partisan crap is interesting in it’s own right. But my takeaway so far is that these motherfuckers (on the left AND the right) have been leveraging economic and political clout in this Global Economy bullshit on an unprecedented scale for nothing but personal gain since forever. Now the game’s finally gotten really big. Excessive greed and financial turmoil now makes it hard to go unnoticed. They are finally getting caught up due to their own greed and stupidity. Too much cloak-and-dagger, collusion and line-crossing has led to microscopic analysis they obvioulsy cannot handle.

How do you propose we take on the rich and powerful who truly run everything?

I mean, the only reason I think that this might not be true is that nobody could be this stupid.

-

“While Qatari officials were in Washington last month, they came armed with materials they said showed the UAE has worked against their government, including information involving Kushner, people familiar with the matter said. They debated for days whether to turn it over to Mueller but felt their meetings with U.S. officials had been productive and so decided against it, these people said.”\*

>
> And it will could open up other transactions to scrutiny. And NONE of these companies are clean. They all cheat to some extent and everyone knows it, but if the press gets onto you, you’re on your own. Look at that Shkreli asshole. What he did with the drug prices was amoral but legal - but he called attention to himself and investigators went through his company and found the stuff that was illegal but not necessarily amoral. And they all do it.
>
> So Kushner will have to walk away. As will his wife. And that’s probably not happening. This is, I think, the worst thing yet in Kushners Worst Week Ever. And it’s only Wednesday.

This explains something odd I read earlier today. The HuffPost said that it’s rumored Cadet Bone Spurs has asked or is about to ask Kelly to oust Jared and Ivanka. I’d post a link, but that’s really all the item said – it linked to a longer article that mentioned the same thing without any corroboration.

So Jared and Ivanka can’t walk away without it looking like they’re admitting they did all the illegal stuff they actually did do. Cadet Bone Spurs can’t fire them without it looking like they actually did all the illegal stuff they did. But if Kelly fires them because of Jared’s security clearance, then it’s all “They did a great job. Wonderful people. It’s a shame the corrupt FBI was too busy playing games with security clearances when they should have been protecting schoolkids, but what can you do?”

Yes, that poor, poor senior administration official who could not possibly have expected tricky questions from the professional politicians and lawyers who had called her to testify about possible criminal wrongdoing. How could she have known that they would try to trip her up with questions about whether she had ever lied on behalf of the person at the center of the investigation? I mean, that’s totally, totally unfair. And then they publicized her remarks in a way that was most favorable to their version of the facts. Why, that’s something the White House Director of Communications could never have predicted. Such a setup! So unfair!

I feel for them. It’s terrible how some countries might use bribery and underhanded tactics to further their agendas in a way that may unfairly affect Qatar…and at a time when Qatar is busy preparing to host its totally-legitimately-earned FIFA World Cup Championship in 2022 too.

“thump” is **ThelmaLou** ’s way of saying Trump. Why? God knows. Kind of like whatsisname’s “let’s throw stuff down into the quarry” thing, it’s funny to literally one person: the poster him/herself. I wish she’d stop because it makes me roll my eyes every time, even though I hate the guy as much as she does.

But it’s purposeful, is what I’m saying. Unlike the incredibly minor “its” mistake.
