My goodness. They brought in Jules? Just shows how desperate Trump is for legal representation right now. When is the last time Rudy’s been anywhere near a case this big as an attorney? This is just another example of Trump hiring a friend/celebrity to fill a role on his reality show. The only thing this orange clown respects more than unyielding loyalty is celebrity. Rudy brings both. And from Rudy’s introductory ass-kissing of both Mueller and Trump, I suspect he’s not being brought on board for his robust legal mind. It’s to hopefully broker a deal that ends this investigation. ---

The IG determined that McCabe released this information strictly for his own personal benefit and rejected McCabe’s assertion that this was done to give the FBI’s version of events unfolding at the time, which would seem like a very subjective conclusion to reach. Whether or not you truly believe McCabe did it to take some of the heat off himself in his role within the FBI at that time, it seems like there’s at least enough wiggle room to give him the benefit of the doubt. Instead, the IG seems determined to reject that out of hand, and equally determined to use his denials against him as a “lack of candor” or outright “perjury.” One has to seriously question the objectivity of the IG here. ---

FTR, I myself have seen no reason to question the objectivity of either Bob Mueller or Michael Horowitz (the DOJ IG). But I look comparably at people who question either.
