The Cohen plea actually has the sentence: “In or about January 2017, Cohen left the company and began holding himself out as the “personal attorney” to Individual-1, who at that point had become the President of the United States.” The Committee to re-elect Individual-1! ---

Trump’s asshole is surely puckering after hearing both of these today. Giuliano will be getting even sillier, if such a thing possible, trying to downplay all of this. I’m looking forward to hearing Trump’s rally this evening, but will catch it on Seth Meyer’s “At a Closer Look” or some other late night comedians monologue on YouTube so they can spin it back in the right direction. ---

I tuned into Fox at 6:00 this evening out of curiosity. I was surprised, pleasantly. Brett Bair was hosting and he’s one of the few almost even-handed Foxers. I watched 8 minutes. It was all about Cohen and Manafort. Straightforward and factual. They talked about this being bad news for Trump. No one even implied that the conviction and plea deal were anything other than righteous. No talk about Trump and his cronies being persecuted or treated unfairly. No one got in a mention of the wonderful Trump economy ( that is a Fox favorite tactic for softening unfavorable stories). It was truly a segment worthy of CNN. Now one reason I mention this is that it occurred to me that Trump was probably watching this very segment on the plane to West Virginia. And it will only serve to amp up his crazy. Then I tuned in at 7 - I wanted to see if they were covering the rally. They choose to lead the 7PM show with a missing girl story.
