Nah, it’s totally possible to buy a scandal, though I admit it was easier to pull off decades past before literally everything and everyone left a digital paper trail. However, thanks to that digital paper trail, you have to be, well, not a _complete_ idiot if you want that scandal to last longer than a soap bubble. What we’re seeing here did not pass muster. ---
