The correct spelling appears to be “Mifsud.” A google search of _mifsud papadopoulos_ in the last 24 hours doesn’t pull up any MSM sources… but plenty of questionable ones. _\_ ---

Regarding their reasons for withdrawing, there might be a hint in a statement from one of his attorneys in September when asked about some of Papadop’s tweets: “Most of our clients listen and follow all of our advice, some follow most of our advice, some follow some of our advice, some follow none of our advice.” ---

Sen. Jeff Flake, lame duck from Arizona, announced today that he will use his position on the Senate Judiciary Committee to block any nominees until Mitch McConnell allows a Mueller Protection bill to come to the floor for a vote. This is a bold move – practically Profiles in Courage-ish, for this congress. Of course his courageous stand is only effective for the next month or so, so I don’t see any reason McConnell can’t just wait until the next Congress is sworn in, without Flake. ---
